The Bavarian Academy for Nature Conservation and Landscape Management (ANL), founded 1976 and operating under the Bavarian State Ministry of Environment and Health is involved in training and research projects.

International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN)

On 23rd November 2010 the European IUCN-Director Dr. Hans Friedrich presented Dr. Christoph Goppel (Director of the ANL) with the official IUCN-certificate of membership. The Bavarian Academy for Nature Conservation and Landscape Management (ANL) is the first academy as an IUCN-member worldwide. more
